Event venues London: The hottest openings for 2022

The world of events is bouncing back, and the city of London is poised and ready to entice event attendees from across the globe. Things have certainly evolved, not excluding the city’s accommodation and venue stock for events, conferences, and incentive travel.

From event spaces with hi-tech facilities to luxurious hotels offering panoramic views, unique restaurants, and cocktail bars. London is ready to host your next event!

So, let’s look at this year’s most exciting new event venues.

One Hundred Shoreditch, the “social heart of Shoreditch.”

Located on Shoreditch High Street, the One Hundred Shoreditch is the second London property from Lore Group, after Sea Containers London.
Opened at the beginning of the year, this trendy new hotel is home to 258 stylish guestrooms and suites, five meeting and event spaces, and six restaurants and bars, including a
relaxed rooftop bar offering panoramic views across East London.

With over 600 sq. feet of space, the One Hundred Room, with its breath-taking view, can host any event, from corporate meetings to private dinners, panel talks, and weddings.

With an ever-increasing emphasis on the need for sustainability, this fascinating venue is on a mission to become a fully sustainable building.
One Hundred Shoreditch is, in fact, an official member of the Heart of the City programme. A charity that encourages organisations to do business responsibly and positively impact the local communities and environment.

The hotel is also becoming a partner of Considerate Group (B-Corp Certified) to ensure that all its policies and procedures have been audited and monitored.

Art-otel Battersea, an iconic and vibrant location

As mentioned in our previous blog, historically, Battersea Power Station supplied a fifth of London’s electricity and has since become an icon of London culture, even featuring on the cover art of Pink Floyd’s Animals album.

After years in a state of abandonment, the entire area is now being redeveloped and transformed into one of the City’s most vibrant and innovative locations. The new Battersea Power Station will include several great event spaces and private dining rooms alongside numerous shops, restaurants, and bars.

The 4*-star Art-otel Battersea is a boutique property set to open in late Summer 2022, at the heart of this iconic development.

This magnificent luxurious lifestyle hotel, designed by Foster + Partners, will offer 164 guestrooms and show-stopping skyline floors, bars, signature restaurants, and a rooftop pool and garden overlooking the infamous power station chimneys.
It is a perfect location for a luxury London incentive or summer celebration.

The Reveller at the Tower of London

Tower of London has stood for over 1,000 years, and many assume it has nothing new to offer, not so! For the very first time, guests can dance and party right at the Tower’s “newest” venue, The Reveller”

Heather Thomas, Senior Business Development Executive at Historic Royal Palaces

Have you ever imagined hosting an event in the shadows of the Tower Bridge arches on the grounds of one of London’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Tower of London? Now it is possible, at The Reveller, the latest addition to the Tower of London event spaces. Located just a short walk from Tower Hill Station and set on the stunning cobbled Wharf, this contemporary venue offers a versatile accessible space for events of up to 300 guests.

Heather Thomas, Senior Business Development Executive at Historic Royal Palaces, commented ‘Tower of London has stood for over 1,000 years, and many assume it has nothing new to offer, not so! For the very first time, guests can dance and party right at the Tower’s “newest” venue, The Reveller, enjoying the newest elements of the city whilst being in the oldest. This is just one of those things you will never forget!

The Reveller combines modernity with tradition, with the old Victorian stone of the Tower Bridge walls, natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows, and a private outdoor terrace with a retractable roof.

This space can also be used together with other venues around the Tower to offer guests a unique and memorable experience.

Outernet Live, the largest live events venue in town

This summer, we are set to welcome London’s newest music venue Outernet Live, the largest live events venue to be built in central London since the 1940s.

This fascinating technological venue, able to host up to two thousand people, will be housed beneath The Now building, which will feature 23,000 sq. feet of floor-to-ceiling high-resolution 16K screens.

Green Light Development founders Robert Butters and Karrie Goldberg will manage and operate the venue as joint venture partners.

A versatile and flexible range of venues forms an incredible entertainment district that can host a wide range of significant events, from major film premieres, live concerts, and awards show to intimate artist exhibitions and brand experiences.

Housed across an iconic area, including Denmark Street, at the historic heart of the British music industry, the Outernet includes the legendary and restored 12 Bar Club, with a 350 capacity and a not-for-profit recording studio. Outernet is set to ignite innovation for conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, and live events.
