As event professionals, we all know that good food is one of the main ingredients of a successful event. People want to enjoy good food and drinks as they socialise and network with other guests. And what can be better than the world’s most popular food?

I appreciate that this is a bold statement; pizza is offered by many but mastered by few! Everyone loves a pizza right!? Here in London, we are spoilt for choice to get one of our favourite slices however to get one that is really tasty and memorable takes persistence.

I have more than ten pizza restaurants within a mile of my house plus numerous takeaways. When I spotted a new wood-fired pizza oven being built it didn’t exactly catch my eye. My wife however is a pizza lover and was determined to try our new neighbour, Pizza Pellone.

Family Pedigree

We did not regret our choice, as we entered we were greeted by the owner and soon realised we had stepped into a family-run restaurant. The family’s passion for pizza is now in its third generation. They have 5 pizzerias in the Naples area and now Antonio (named after his grandfather) and his sister Adri have brought the passion and famous pizza name to London.

The restaurant is small but welcoming with a great ambience. Our pizzas lived up to the Neapolitan style, crisp and crunchy from the wood fire but soft and gooey with their delicious tomato sauce which, in true traditional style, is a secret family recipe. The authentic and fresh toppings completed the pizzas and Italian beer and wine completed a great meal!
